Foundation Progress

This construction update shows considerable foundation progress.  The frames and supports are removed and the walls seem complete.  The basement floor remains as gravel.  The egress window is merely a hole in the back wall and the corrugated metal half-cylinder is resting on the ground behind our home, presumably ready for installation.

Today and the past few days have actually felt like winter with temperatures almost reaching the teens.  The predicted snowfall never arrived.

That’s my silhouette.  Fun.

Backyard

The photo below pretty much illustrates the (non-existent) expansiveness of the backyard.  Since we are viewing from the left side of the foundation, the protruding back corner is the kitchen’s greenhouse extension.  This happens to be the deepest element of the house.
